About KMCS3
KMCS3 is a student-facing cyber security society for students, alumni and others who have current and/or past connections with one or more higher education institutions (HEIs) in Kent and Medway.
Its memberships were limited to current students of the University of Kent, but from the 2025–26 academic year, they are open to the following groups:
- Those studying at one or more HEIs in the Kent and Medway region
- Those studying outside the region but living in Kent and Medway
- Those outside the region who maintain close ties and actively participate (e.g. alumni)
KMCS3 is independent of student unions across HEIs in Kent and Medway, allowing it to remain agile and inclusive across multiple institutions.
It is formally associated with iCSS, which provides financial sponsorship and administrative support including operations, funding, resources, room bookings, and event collaboration.
